Seventh and Deadliest Part 1 - Pride Comes Before the Fall
Description

Traditional Catholic doctrine divides sin into two main categories: "Venial sins" or minor sins and the more severe "Capital", “Cardinal” or Mortal sins. The doctrine purports that these Mortal sins place one’s salvation in jeopardy of the threat of eternal damnation while venial sins are more easily forgivable.

As a disclaimer it is our opinion that sin has no distinction.  While some vices bear greater consequences all sin is detestable to God and yet all sin is forgiven by the immeasurable grace of God provided through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

According to the Catholic Church Seven Deadly Sins or the Cardinal Sins, are a classification of the most objectionable vices one can commit. These are the mortal/capital sins that I was talking about.  They include "Lust", "Gluttony", "Greed", "Sloth", "Wrath", "Envy", and "Pride".

Although these are all noteworthy sins to teach on and warn about in the pulpit and in print there is one that stands out as not only a sin among these, but the root of all sin.  That is the seventh one listed here – Pride.
